Gonzo, Labrador Retriever For Adoption In Langley, British Columbia

Price:
$750
Location:
Langley, BC
Description:

Hey pals!! My name is Gonzo (Gonzalo in Mexico!) and you can read more about me here: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Lab/Staffy(?) mix (just a guess!) Age: 8 months approx. Gender: Male Weight: 42lbs (19kg) Current Location: Baja Mexico RESCUE STORY - By now, you might have heard the story of me and my siblings (Gucci - now adopted!, Gizmo, Gus and Gio). You see, we were found abandoned, hungry and scared as wee, tiny puppies on the streets of Los Cabos! That was no fun for us at all and we probably wouldn't have done very well if it wasn't for some kind folks who picked us up and took us in at the shelter. Since being there, I've really grown into the most easy-going, goodest boy with a heart of pure gold! In fact, rumour has it that I give cuddles like no other. I thrive on human affection and love lazing on the laps of the peoples, as well as hanging out in the yard with my four-legged buddies! I'm a real angel doggo who is adaptable, affectionate and SO ready for my furever family to come find me! TEMPERAMENT - Like my sibs, I'm chill as a cucumber and a nice balance of fun-loving and cuddly/relaxed. I'm super smart and do very well picking up on things you want to teach me, plus I get along with everybody! I'm definitely a lover, not a fighter, and I would LOVE to spend my days cuddling with you on the couch and playing fetch at the dog park. ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown but testing can be requested. Dogs – Yep!! I get along just fine with other dogs. Cats – I seem okay with cats as you can see in my video but further testing can be requested. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – These are a work in progress but I'm doing pretty good as you can see in my video! My adopter must be willing to provide me with some training and patience :) House trained – This is a work in progress and may need some additional training and patience. Crate trained – This is a work in progress and may need some additional training and patience. Car rides – This is a work in progress and may need some additional training and patience. Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain, Balanced Dog Trainer) to offer adopters 50% off one training session (not including tax and applicable gas surcharges). Any subsequent sessions will be offered at standard rates. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. NOTE: dogs from the Baja are not microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live. WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates. ##2040732##Adoption processPlease keep in mind that there may be multiple applications for a single dog and that even if your phone interview and home check are successful, there is no guarantee that you will be matched with the dog you have applied for. Your chances of a successful match greatly increase if you list more than one dog on your application.
